HOW IT WORKS
The Therapy is divided into two steps: Manual Lymphatic Drainage followed by Modelling Massage.
The first step in which Manual Lymphatic Drainage is performed to boost the Lymphatic System to work better and better. The Lymphatic System works as a third circulation, in addition to arterial and venous. The lymph is the fluid that circulates through this network of lymphatic vessels; it is rich in proteins, white blood cells, microorganism, and also carry bacterium and toxins. Its appearance is viscous and yellowish. The lymph is like blood, performs metabolic changes with the cells and then are collected by the vessels of the lymphatic system, returning to the Lymph nodes. The lymph nodes are found throughout the body. They are an essential part of the immune system. Its function is to help the body recognise and fight off germs, infections and other foreign substances. It's for them that the lymph collected from the vessels are directed to be filtered.
During the therapy, this lymph that becomes accumulated in the cells is routed out of our body, and this is possible by stimulating the lymph nodes and making the movements from the lymph to the places that will eliminate it. Knowing precisely the location and the way of moving during the drainage will bring the expected benefit, through gentle manoeuvres, the therapist drains the impurities, you'll feel lighter and wholly relaxed.
After this first procedure, the therapy is followed by step two: the Modelling Massage. Through fast and firm manoeuvres, whose goal is body shaping, this technique improves the appearance of the skin, tone, body contour, preventing and reducing cellulite This massage favours the remodelling or redistribution of the corporal contours, improving the circulation and oxygenation of the tissues.
